A penny saved is still a penny.
Here is my burgeoning penny collection established in mid-August. This collection includes one gold-plated penny from 1993.
These are my old pennies. These will be cataloged and shipped for storage in my safety deposit house located in Roanoke, VA.

Yay! Auntie Melody (as Aidan calls you). Why is the one penny gold-plated? I can't wait to see the pennies.
Well, its a different color than the rest of the pennies and I thought it looked gold so I Googled "gold plated penny" and found out you can order them and one of the years they have was in fact 1993. Hence my assessment.
Fancy penny!! I never heard of that. I assume that a gold-plated penny is not really worth a a penny. Why would someone order one and then let it enter circulation?
